Pieriodic (“Pieriodic”, “we”, “us”) is a catalog of San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Air Action Plan strategies and green shipping corridors, operated by 3COTECH Inc. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it short because we collect very little.

The short version

• We don’t sell your data, and we don’t run advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
• The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you logged in.
• Our website analytics are cookieless — they read our own server logs, not your browser.
• We collect your email and messages only when you create an account or contact us.

What we collect

• Server logs. Like almost every website, our server automatically records each request: your IP address, the page or file requested, the date and time, the referring page, and your browser’s user-agent string. These are standard access logs used for security and to understand traffic.
• Account information. If you have an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we store what you submit — your name, email, organization (optional), the reason you selected, and your message.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and Pieriodic is intended for professional and educational use.

Cookies

We use a single, strictly-necessary cookie: a login session cookie that keeps you signed in while you use the app. It’s an HttpOnly cookie (not readable by scripts) and it disappears when your session ends. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, so there’s no consent banner to click through.

Analytics

We measure traffic with GoAccess, a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool that reads our own server logs. It shows us things like page popularity, referrers, browsers, and — using a local MaxMind GeoLite2 database — the visitor’s country. This processing happens on our own server; no analytics script runs in your browser and no data is sent to a third-party analytics company.

How we use what we collect

• To operate, secure, and improve the site and the app.
• To sign you in and remember your session.
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To understand overall traffic patterns (in aggregate).

We do not use your information for automated decisions or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it.

Who processes data for us

We rely on a small number of service providers (“processors”) who handle data on our behalf:

• Hostinger — hosts our server and stores the site, database, and logs. (hostinger.com/legal)
• InMotion Hosting — delivers the email that a contact-form submission generates to us. Your message and email address pass through their mail servers so we receive it.
• MaxMind — provides the GeoLite2 country database we run locally for analytics. We download the database from MaxMind; your IP address is not sent to MaxMind when we look up a country.

We don’t share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

How long we keep it

• Server logs: rotated daily and deleted after about 14 days.
• Account data: for as long as your account exists; deleted on request.
• Contact messages: kept while we handle your request and for reasonable follow-up, then removed.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — just contact us. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/EEA/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including the right to a copy of your data, to object to certain processing, or to complain to a data-protection authority. We’ll honor valid requests and won’t discriminate against you for making one.

Because we don’t sell personal information, there is no “sale” for you to opt out of.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, the login cookie is HttpOnly, and access to the app is currently limited to a private preview. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

International visitors

Our server is located in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information will be processed there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Pieriodic grows (for example, when paid access launches). We’ll change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we’ll give notice on the site.
